Does anyone know of any Dominican Hair Salons in Indianapolis, IN?
I'm sorry I can't help you find one in Indy but I go to them here in Grand Rapids, Michigan and I love it!! Makes my hair look so healthy and I don't have to get a relaxer as often! and they're cheap!

that's hard for me to believe. i have a huge fetish for the female foot that is pretty. if you dint know who the clipping belong too why purchase them. those clipping could come from ';big bubba'; or some other gross out guy. But who knows i might go for it if i could be there when the clippings are taken but i would like to pay the female and not the salon cause they will get paid for the pedicure and possible a tip.

as my most recent cuts were not so complicated, i chose to visit a barber shop...i don`t think there`s anything wrong with it...i feel like some women are intimidated to go to a barber, because traditionally, most barbers were men %26amp; the majority of the clients were male, making a woman feel out of place...but i think barbers can be just as good as a cosmetologist...they have to go thru extensive training just as a normal hairstylist would...perhaps they are not so familiar with some of the complicated chemical processes that are out there, but then again it`s possible...u just have to ask the barber what experience he or she has %26amp; then decide from there...but now i don`t have to visit the barber or cosmetologist, i have my own clippers %26amp; i do it or my boyfriend does!!!Why do woman prefer barber shops over salons?

If you call for prices, you should find the very happy to assist you. ';Roberto's is a bit out of the way, but you will like it's charm, and you will probably find the folks a bit more helpful than in Nob Hill.

Thats called hard wax. You should be carefull who you go to for this because Hard wax isnt something alot of people have expierence in. It is designed for sesitive people. Basically you lay it on and let it harden and peel of without the use of strips.

but i know alot of hair stylists dont like to risk it because ofcourse, your hair might come out a completely diff. color or be a bit off..
and especially if your hair is not its normal ';virgen-untouched'; natural hair color it can lead to other colors too,
i had that happen to me
i had dyed my hair pitch black and when i wanted to for blonde about 3 months later i had to bleach then re dye then they put some other type of dye to lower the color because the color came out too intense because of the bleaching that is neccessary in doing sometimes when trying to re dye a strong hair color such as black or red.
ive actually have been told red is harder to get rid of than black.
so now to answer your question,
yes.. most can and do do it for you as long as you make sure you give them the right color you want, its better than trying to explain the color its always best to bring a picture or just your own color so they can dye it on you. dont want to risk it and end up looking like a clown instead of a radient female, and then damage your hair trying to re dye it over again, lol trust me its not nice at the end your head might end up like a mop! so make sure the hair stylist is used to doing unnatural colors and bring a pictures so you can compare the results..

i had that happen to me
i had dyed my hair pitch black and when i wanted to for blonde about 3 months later i had to bleach then re dye then they put some other type of dye to lower the color because the color came out too intense because of the bleaching that is neccessary in doing sometimes when trying to re dye a strong hair color such as black or red.
ive actually have been told red is harder to get rid of than black.
so now to answer your question,
yes.. most can and do do it for you as long as you make sure you give them the right color you want, its better than trying to explain the color its always best to bring a picture or just your own color so they can dye it on you. dont want to risk it and end up looking like a clown instead of a radient female, and then damage your hair trying to re dye it over again, lol trust me its not nice at the end your head might end up like a mop! so make sure the hair stylist is used to doing unnatural colors and bring a pictures so you can compare the results..

I believe if you take their 40 hour class, you can then follow up and possibly work for them. I attended the 10 hour OSHA training course and it was amazing how many standards and rules... but quite intriguing. Hope this helps, I think thats a very interesting career idea!

spray tans are WAY better than tanning beds because of the UV rays, i've never gotten one in a salon but i know people that get them and it looks natural.. if you don't have time to go to the salon just buy sally hansen airbrush stuff at walgreens or jergens natural glow but that takes 4-7 days depending on which one you buy !

Acrylic is what you put over the tips. First the nail people glue fake tips on your nails... then they whip up some acrylic paste stuff and paint it on over your entire nail to smooth it out.

EVERYONE READ THIS .... i did back in high school. i went to the best tanning salon in the area on almost a daily basis. i contracted a bacteria from the bed that has been with me for years now. it was from improper cleaning. they cleaned it before i got in. and then before id get in - id clean it too, with the towels provided in the room.
a few years later i met someone who worked there who informed me all the towels are re-used throughout the day, though some are washed, not all.

alright. So i went and got a much needed pedicure the other day and I was surprised when the lady working on my feet did not razor the bottom of my feet! Yes, they are the best!! I moved to a new state and travel just to get my hair done by a Dominican. I have very curly hair and have never chemically processed it. I used to get my hair blowed dried straight and have also gotten highlights done. I like that Dominicans know how to deal with so many different hair types because the variety of hair varies so much in their country. I received a gift certificate for a full day's spa treatment and it was heavenly! The bottom floor of the facility - the old Salem library mind you - is decorated beautifully with a warm, relaxing atmosphere. The massage, facial and salt rub were intensely soothing - all professional with a focus on stress relief. I was also treated to a manicure and pedicure, although this was disappointing as the polish came off within a day. I've never experienced that. Not sure if it was the brand of polish or the application. Lunch was also superb, I was shocked to receive such a nice one at a spa. Very pricey, but if you need to decompress, it's worth the money.
Pros: Relaxing, Professional, Variety of Services

This place has the Newbury Street feel, while being miles outside of Boston. It is located in an old converted library and is really gorgeous to look at.
Depending on the stylists, I would say the work was so-so for the money. I now have my friend, who is also a hair stylist cut and color my hair at home for a fraction of the cost with better results.
Don't get me wrong, I liked my hair when I left, but for the same thing that my friend could do for $50.00, they charged me $250, so it really depends. If you are looking to be pampered and waited upon hand and foot, to feel a little luxorious and extravagant, then this is your place!
Pros: Beautiful location, trendy place
Cons: expensive for the location, its not Newbury Street!

I went to Kings and Queens Salon in the Woodbridge area, and they did an AWESOME job on my hair. They really were a top notch salon and I highly recommend them. I'm not asian, though, so you could call and ask. But I had an african american woman doing my hair and I swear it was the no.1 best cut I ever got!

I do not believe that one is better than the other. I used to be an instructor at a beauty school in Minnesota. You have to pass tests, both written and hands on to even become an instuctor. The state of Minnesota has to teach the same ciriculum to every student passing through, so I don't see how one is better than another. I believe you would be paying extra for a name.
