Are salons open on Columbus Day?

I want to get my nails done. But I'm not sure if the Nail salons are open since its a ';holiday';.





Anyone know?Are salons open on Columbus Day?
Many salons are closed on Sunday and Monday so they dont lose money closing on their busiest days. My guess would be that if you want to get your nails done, any salon that would normally be open on Monday, will be.Are salons open on Columbus Day?
depends on the salon and the owner...most nail salons are independently owned...unless they are part of a chain, such as Gene Juarez Salons in Seattle...even so, Columbus Day has been dropped (mostly) as a holiday, in favour of Martin Luther King Day... federal employees only get so many holidays, so they had to swap one for another.
Most hair salons are not open on Monday anyway.





If it's not a place that does hair too, then maybe. A lot of nail places near me are owned by people of different nationalities - and they do not recognize our traditional holidays.
I would think like a Wal-Mart or JcPenneys salon would be open on that day. Most retail stores with salons/nails would be open.
Pretty much nothing closes on Columbus day anymore. Obviously depends on your salon, but all of them by me are open.
if u live in the toronto area.. vaughan mills is always open.
